We'll have to pick it up and give it a listen at some point. Being a young adult without much disposable income in the '80s and '90s stuck in the Midwest with only top 40 radio etc there was definitely a lot of stuff we missed. The internet has been a paradigm shift on that sort of thing.
In this age of access, I've made a soft rule to eventually retire well known bands so that I keep discovering what else is out there. There's so much great music that history has mostly passed by
And someone who has streamed and dejed for the better part of 25 years. I don't know that I could truly retire the classics. I know where you're coming from though. But I damn well make sure that even if I use them as the basic structure for a set. I pack in as much new or obscure as I can. It's great when someone enjoys a set in general. But my favorite part is introducing them to new material by far.
