I continue to be surprised by BattleMage. This looks like where you probably want to go if you're interested in having open source drivers with a pretty decent GPU.

It seems to have a lot of issues on Linux though. AMD is still the king on Linux if you want open source drivers and a decent GPU.

Yeah, that's what I'm running on Linux. But this seems to have some promise.
