Oh got dammit! Are there any other instances you know of that's down for the count?

Also, fucking fuck GoDaddy, almost 5 grand now‽ Effectively ensures no one else can start an instance at that domain either >:(

you shouldn't reuse domains on the fediverse for a new instance anyway, subdomains are fine though: https://programming.dev/comment/14173239

Are there any other instances you know of that’s down for the count?

For a while people were still posting to the lemmy.world copy of [email protected] even though waveform.social died. So someone just made a "this community is dead" post.

Well, yiffit and Lemmy.autism.place are going out soon, but that should be it. Maybe we should have a community with archived instances

While scrolling to find my posts on lemmy.film to crosspost elsewhere I checked in on some posts on [email protected] and apparently possumpat.io is shutting down soon to :(
