Several of the long term zerocarb people on Reddit reckon they have no need of extra salt beyond what is intrinsic to the meat they eat
My experience after 2 years is I don't need much salt but I do need some, and I need more the more alcohol I have
I agree, the first few weeks of lchf/carnivore ramping up the salt helps.
I add salt to taste, but even if I dump in too much salt it still tastes good. I just get more thirsty and pee out the unneeded amount.
The good side is you can taste when you've had enough salt
