Is it supposed to insult them to make a joke about them being gay? This kinds feels like a backwards gay-bashing joke

Here, I can do the next series of comments that happens every time someone points this out to save everyone else the trouble:

Um, are you saying that being gay is bad? Wow, that's something you and only you brought to the table!

No it's okay because they think it's bad, so it's fine to use it to insult them

I bet you're not even gay and just mad on behalf of gay people

I am a gay person and am okay with this, for some reason

It's just a joke, not real homophobia
