I do have serious concerns trump will draw back us forces due to whatever compromising material is out there. I tend to believe putin has material that will allow Ivanka to escape her pre-nup and take trump to the cleaners.
No need to go into the dark when analyzing Trump's behaviour. Looking at his desire for power and legitimacy usually suffices.
Also, greed and stupidity. IIRC, his last beef with NATO was wanting the EU to pay the US for being a member, probably because he overheard someone talk about how Germany should spend more on the military and naturally assumed they meant American military.
