For Steam games, you need to go in the settings and activate the Proton compatibility layer: Steam -> Settings -> Compatibility -> Enable Steam Play for all other titles.
Then it will let you install windows games.
And for Epic and GOG you can get the Heroic launcher from the software center (or whatever it's called, the one with the green circle icon).
I've had decent luck with Lutris as well (for GOG and local installers). Takes a little fiddling, but most things work well.
This. If you mostly play single player games, you should have a very good experience, I very rarely have issues with game support on Steam. Oh, also, Restart Steam is the last step here.
