What?

VPN encryption increases your network usage.

There are even shady plans where only Whatsapp is infinite, which will not work with a VPN. It is useless but thought it was interesting.

I use WhatsApp with VPNs. It works fine.

Yes of course. I am talking about "unlimited Whatsapp" cell data contracts, which make me wanna cry but they exist.

The network provider monitors all your outgoing requests (probably only if you also dont use private DNS) and allows Whatsapp requests unlimited.

If you never directly connect to whatsappdotcom then they dont give you that bonus.

Oh, right. All my ISP sees is one giant encrypted data stream.

Exactly as it should be.

Fortunately I have no bandwidth caps.
