from the future with more episodes out.
i thought the same thing before it came out. i expected to hate it, but it's actually quite good. the kids feel like kids that are out of their depth and face genuinely harrowing and dangerous problems. them being and feeling like actual kids makes it feel that much worse when any of them get hurt or almost die. for the most part the adults in the series easily manipulate and handle them. they don't get to be heroes. at least so far.
there's a couple of big mysteries in it that keep stringing you along, dropping just enough hints at the larger story underneath as it goes. who is this mysterious force sensitive pirate that's clearly manipulating them? what the hell is the deal with at atin? where did that ship come from anyway? the latest episode genuinely had me on the edge of my seat and kind of hating the system that

created the augmented child that almost died as the augments failed.I'd definitely agree that it's the only other star wars show that gets anywhere near as good as andor. it's a much lighter, more adventurous vibe that manages to avoid being about the Jedi or the sith. which is where I think the star wars universe shines.
