A while ago I heard about how special forces are experiencing CTE because of cavitations from the sound waves of practice firing...
The thing is, lots of military members are exposed to sounds just as long for much more time.
I was 6hrs on, 6hrs off in an engine room louder than a fired shot. It didn't take long for people to get "salty" which is basically all the early signs of CTE.
