As always, start by resetting CMOS
You might need to update the BIOS on a motherboard that old to support the Ryzen 3000 series. Borrow an older CPU from someone, or see if AMD is still doing loaners. You mean Ryzen, not Athlon, right? ๐
Edit: oh I didn't realize AMD was still using the Athlon brand on Zen CPUs
