Why the "umm" and one upping? OP made no claims that this was the worst ever or anything. They probably posted this as it's relevant to the current situation where it appears Russia shot down another passenger aircraft.
I don't think Russian anti aircraft missiles were involved in Tenerife so don't see the point you're trying to make here.
