These "alternative fact" tactics WORK! Or else people would not bother with them. The Information Age is over, now we have entered the Disinformation Era, where it is much harder to distinguish truth from fiction.

See the entire series of Innuendo Studios bc we're going to be seeing those approaches brushed off and re-used in this next phase.

Two instances I know of that are fighting back are PieFed and dubvee.org.
