Although I hate the Brave browser, the search engine is the most useful of the others. It gives me the most correct results compared to the others, even it sometimes ignores the quality resources.

I wonder your opinion about the search engine. Do you have any negative ones?

I self host a searx instance for myself. Brave is one of the 6 engines I use. I think it's great. Brave search has at times found results that my other 5 engines have failed to which have been useful. I only touch their browser with a 39.5ft pole though. I'm still salty about the affiliate link incident. Maybe I should let it go, it's been years.

How about that the CEO has shitty views and got ousted for it from Moz? Is that forgivable?

Or that it's yet another Chromium based browser?

IMO if it's between someone using Brave and Gulag Chrome, it's a net moral gain to use Brave, even considering the CEO's bigoted beliefs and actions($3,100 of political donations).

Ameliorated Firefox/Librewolf is of course the most ethical web browser and also happens to be the only browser that easily meets my UI needs and I love the configuration scheme. :-)
