lol .... I was helping a friend fix up an old crappy cottage in the woods. He was doing his best to just keep the structure upright and not collapse on him. It was literally being held together with wire and long strands of threaded rod to keep the walls from exploding out and collapsing the roof.
I suggested we try to build some flying buttresses to support the building and he had absolutely no clue what I was talking about. I was serious and he got mad at me for making fun of him. It took a while before I could explain it all .... he didn't like the idea anyway. His cottage is still held together with wire and rods.
