Wait, it's a two parter? I just entirely lost interest in watching the first part.

Part 1 is the first act, somewhat expanded. The additions are pretty seamless and add a bit to the story. Its been a long time since I saw the play, but there is only one part I was sure wasn't in the original

If you are into the play you would probably like it. I went with my wife and daughters and they loved it. I found it enjoyable enough. As someone who isn't super into the play, it was paced well, with some good comical elements.

Part 1 is the first act

Oh my god I just now got what my sister meant by "the act break is super long" and why my mother replied "lol" in the family group chat.

I agree. The additions do not drag the movie down or make the run time feel overly long. I get the hate for splitting movies into multiple parts. Most of them do not deserve it. But, I feel this telling of the story is interesting, and I am willing to watch it in two parts.
