In the statement announcing his plan, Pryor said, “It is never too late to do the right thing.”

While true, one could argue everything that happens after the 'wrong thing' happens is 'too late'.

I had the exact same thought.

Every time I suggest a solution that would work, I'm attacked by "leftists" that condemn anything except a moderate approach. I want change now. Some of the people convicted of these bogus crimes will die of old age in prison. Change has to happen now. A progressive approach would solve it, but the people here don't want to hear it. They want small, safe changes, changes in spending, nondisruptive changes in legislation, don't rock the boat nonsense. I want complete abolition.
