The clown scare, 2016 bombings, police brutality, harambe, and I think different types of genders are becoming norm? I'm not sure about the last picture.

Last one's prolly just referencing to trans folks being more visible as the 2010s had progressed. Either that or it's referencing some kinda conservative bathroom bill or some shit like that.
