Apple is right. Encrypted messages work for everyone or no one. CSAM is terrible but other clues make it possible to catch these people outside of their communications on iMessage.

Think of the children is one of oldest plays in the technology era and it quickly becomes less about children as criminals become more sophisticated and law enforcement becomes lazier.
