President-elect Donald Trump said Russia and Iran are in a "weakened state" and called on Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to end the nearly three-year war in Ukraine.

His plan was to force Ukraine to agree to the terms Russia sets and loudly proclaim that he did the best deal and made it all happen. Reality doesn’t matter to his supporters.
