If you're reducing Syrian resistance activities to "because Israel" then you should learn... well, anything about the Syrian civil war.

It's not just zios but also the cia, etc. There's a long, widespread, and overt history of imperialism in the middle east and global south more generally. It's alot for anybody to know, but the fundamentals are very simple.

In Syria, militias armed by the Pentagon fight those armed by the CIA

IDF chief finally acknowledges that Israel supplied weapons to Syrian rebels

Of course people rightfully have a gripe with Assad. The point is with their attack timing these rebels are basically directly fighting for Israel, whether knowingly or not. And HTS is heavily aligned with Turkey and America. There are many video of the HTS driving around in what look like brand new American M113 armored personnel carriers.

I see your point but honestly in their place being concerned with yourself first and foremost with yourself is perfectly acceptable. If Syria is the hill Iran and Russia want to die on then that's frankly not Syrian rebels' business. Put another way, imagine if someone said Hamas should stop operations because they're indirectly helping Iran who supports Assad. Ignore for this hypothetical that Israel supports ISIS out of all groups.

[–] IndustryStandard -2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

While you are correct these groups are fighting for their "self interest" this is what America always does. Whenever an enemy gets too powerful America and Israel start funding whatever group opposes them and makes them fight eachother. By ignoring Israel these rebels are failing to assert the real problem in the region.

Even if they manage to conquer Syria, if they ever get too powerful America will start funding another group (probably Shia's) to fight them. This is how the Shia's got powerful in the first place.

Ignore for this hypothetical that Israel supports ISIS out of all groups.

And how are they supposed to do anything about Israel while being nerve gassed by Assad at home?

Israel is the party which has been bombing Syria lately. Lebanese people even back fled to Syria.

Even if they manage to beat Assad, America and Israel will start arming rebel groups who fight against them until Israel's dream for Greater Israel is realized and Israel conquers Syria. Like I said, by fighting Assad at this moment while he is supporting Hezbollah and Iran against Israel these people are only shooting themselves in the foot.

Furthermore using their weapons to do nothing for Palestine and then attacking the enemies of Israel for so called "liberation" is a massive joke.

The Israeli annexed Golan Heights border on Syria and is close to Damascus. Many of these rebel groups have heavy presence there. The second and last link clearly explain how Israel is arming these ISIS and Al Qaeda fighters from there and even giving them medical treatment.

Tldr: Starting a civil war during the biggest fight against Israel is incredibly stupid. Doing so with American backing reeks of nothing more than dumb peons defending Israel.

Do you think they were bombing Aleppo, or Damascus?

Maybe you should travel to the the region and explain everyone who they should be aligned with / against in order to make your posts make sense

[–] IndustryStandard -1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes Israel has been bombing Syria lately and killing civilians with it. You should pay attention before posting a comment

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago

Do you believe they have been bombing all of Syria?

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What makes you think they are heavily aligned with America? HTS is largely the continuation of al-Nusra, al-Qaeda aligned. Them and the US mostly ignored and avoided eachother as they were both fighting different enemies: the former the Assad regime and the latter ISIS.

[–] IndustryStandard 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Their brand new American M113 APC's do not leave a lot to the imagination.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 day ago (2 children)

What makes you think they didn't get them from Turkey?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What makes you think turkey isn't an imperial ally who got those weapons from usa?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 day ago

Following the news on their internal politics, (for example)

[–] IndustryStandard -1 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Well those are American troop carriers and Turkey is aligned with the USA so it is obvious where they came from. The American Al Tanf base is also training those rebels.

I think it's pretty funny that you regularly post news articles that entirely destroy your entire position, except for perhaps some sole sentence of paragraph which you need. (Even that's not the case here, there's nothing about a US base being used to train anyone, let alone HTS)

In this case if you'd spend even one minute reading your lovely article you'd see the errors in your previous posts here

They didn't reduce the entire war to that, and Syrian history says Israel is heavily involved in Syrian affairs and for many years bombs syria at least once a month, sometimes several times week.
