It's hard to feel any emotions while severing such impersonal relationships. I would advise you to do it whenever you feel like it's the correct thing to do. Go where the users shine, the memes flow and the owners aren't dipshit billionaires who mine your data, restrict the free internet and pollute your online experiences with conspiratorial nazi bullshit.
