That's nearly 1 in 200 Russian citizens that have ~~died~~ been injured or killed in the Ukrainian invasion, if my math is correct:

696410 / 144544546 * 100 ‎ = 0.482

These are not all deaths. october 10th nytimes article:

According to U.S. assessments, Russian casualties in the war so far number as many as 615,000 — 115,000 Russians killed and 500,000 wounded.
