Bump up the shutter speed so it takes the picture faster and bump up the ISO to compensate for the faster shutter speed not letting in as much light

Also maximise your aperture so as much light can get through as possible.

That would help. I just saw the tunnel while biking and thought "Oh, that could make a cool tram picture" and just got my phone out of my pocket when the tram came already.

Or, bring a tripod and crank the shutter speed to like 10 seconds or something. Then the tram becomes a giant glow snake emerging from its burrow.
