Sooooo, I actually use the phone AI. It quite literally changed my work life for the better.
I have a Samsung Fold 5 that got the AI crap installed on my phone. I never used it and was in the same camp as you guys about how worthless it is.
One day for shits and giggles, I decided to try the new AI voice recorder thing in one of my meetings because I struggle with ADHD and I figured I can go back and listen to the things my mind tuned out.
This thing can effectively transcribe an 1 hour meeting and even distinguish between different speakers. My mind was blown. Then it gave me a summary of the meeting and even gave me action items.
It's not for everyone but because of this AI crap, it helps me cope with my ADHD.
That is indeed a good use case for AI.
There are many other ones too. My personal favourite is ML upscaling. Works almost like in the movies.
Ya, there are some of us that have better lives because of it. Everyone else can ignore those features. I welcome it.
