This is obviously an objective criteria, so the mods are always right. Or maybe mildly right? Ahh.. what do we know?

It started with Yochanan (Hebrew) -> Ioannis (Greek) -> Johannes (Mediaeval Latin) -> Jon (Middle English), but now every language seems to have a version, e.g.
