People don't realize that Men of advanced age who father children raise the risk of low birth weight and other long term problems for that baby which can plague them for life. Not to mention you're setting up a kid who will never meet their father. If the mother is over 40 as well, there are even more risks.

Honestly I’m more concerned about the psychosocial aspects. That’s having a child with the intent to raise it as much as possible knowing full well you have only geriatric years left to do it with. Taking care of a dying parent while younger than normal is rough, I know I spent college doing it, and if a parent went in knowing that best case scenario is that with them at 100 I’d be pissed.
