Yep exactly, also if you hit a bump and get "bounced" they help you stay on, supposedly

So far I don't feel like I need them. I'll probably wait a while to install them, because of that other user's advice about being able to jump off easier if needed.

I will say, it's SUPER fun to ride. Holy cow. 1 hour of practice and I was off. I wish I could skip work and ride all over town tomorrow

Coding while unicycling is a challenge I don't think I'm ready for!
