Respectful debate is totally OK, criticizing a product is fine, but being verbally abusive will not be tolerated.

This is a good move. Private sales can be very hit-and-miss when it comes to potentially risky batteries.
Unreported crashes, poor battery maintenance, unseen corrosion, or uncertified battery packs are too easy to buy/sell privately.
At least with vetted businesses, there's some assurance and accountability.
