The screws holding my right footpeg and brake SNAPPED! Glad it happened on a straight at the start of a ride. I was at a track this monday, imagine if it had happened when I was in the middle of a turn. I know the previous owner laid it down once on the right side, so the screws were probably damaged then.

Couldn't ride home, so had to call a tow truck. Took almost 2 hours for them to show up. Haven't looked at it properly. I hope I can get the screws out without having to remove the exhaust.

Just wanted to share the story :)

For what it's worth, anti-seize compound has the added benefit of preventing accidental/vibrational loosening. The high-temp (copper) stuff is pretty damned universal. Obviously, LocTite is what we all think of, but it won't prevent rusting. It's only my opinion, but every bolt on my bike gets one of those two.
