I hope this project gets more contributors to help make it as good or better than Newpipe. Written in Dart using Flutter can allow it to be compiled for Android, iOS and desktop

Libretube is not working since end of July, no instance

Eh I self-host and that works just fine, I haven't noticed any breakage.

Newpipe, too (if you're using protective like VPN or Tor). It's juste the end of private YouTube streaming for now, maybe we'll find something...

I still use YouTube with newpipe. You just need to findan VPN exit server where there's currently not a ton of users watching YouTube. It usually only takes about 3 tries for me in mullvad.

I'm running Newpipe through Proton VPN, working as of today.

not working with Mullvad anymore

Okay going to retry, but trough Tor I can prove that it's not working

Libretube still works pretty good if you self-host your own private instance. You still need to use HLS though.

Yep ! No-ads, no-sponsor, no-shit.

You even don't need to self-host, just disable piped proxy, enable local extraction, use HLS and a good VPN.

Sure it's not as anonymous and sometime I need to disable my VPN, but that's only temporarily, until they find a new loophole in youtoube's api.

That's not piped nor invidious backend's fault, just YouTube doing his cat and mouse thing...
