Real talk: I would be 100% ok with NATO IADS units being stationed outside of major Ukrainian metro areas and infrastructure sites (e.g. power plants, hospitals, etc). Russia would bitch and moan, but they won’t actually do anything. Not to mention, it would be a purely defensive deployment. But it would also free up a lot of Ukrainian assets for more aggressive action against Russia.

Absolutely I agree. The only reason Ukraine isn't in NATO was to be nice to Russia, in the hope of finding peaceful common ground.
Now that Russia has invaded Ukraine, despite promising not to, when Ukraine gave up their nuclear weapons to Russia. There is no reason to show any considerations towards Russia, and we might as well help Ukraine end this on their terms.
Aiding in their air defense would be an amazing initiative IMO.

I think most NATO countries are coming around to that conclusion too, with Biden now stating USA wants to help Ukraine to win. AFAIK he has not said that so directly before.

I’m just kinda angry about the absolutely glacial pace, tbh. The lead up to the invasion was a masterclass in geopolitics. And the initial weapons grants were great and quite effective in terms of what could be given quickly. But dear fucking christ the degree to which Biden is tying Ukraine’s hands behind their back with all the fucking restrictions makes me kinda sick.
