Yeah, I'm highly pissed off about that too. :(

At least there's a "turn it off" option. But that doesn't persist between cookie deletions. So it still pisses me off.

I don't think there's a way to turn off Google's AI-in-search-results BS.

I've seen someone say there's a way to turn off Google's, but it's easier to just scroll past than look into lol

Add this as a filter in uBlock Origin; google.com##.hdzaWe

May change later, I know it's already changed before.

Brave you can turn off the AI bullshit but not on mobile if you search private by default and wipe cookies because it doesn't remember your preference. At least for desktop it doesn't have that shit

Yeah, but Brave has cryptocurrency shit built in which makes me less than enthused to use it.

Not familiar with that...like ads or something?

Just browsing the Wikipedia Page for Brave, it's got built-in:

  • Brave Wallet - a cryptocurrency wallet.
  • Brave Swap - a cryptocurrency exchange service.
  • Blockchain Domain Names support.
  • IPFS support - Ok, IPFS isn't cryptocurrency or blockchain shit, but it is blockchain-adjacent.
  • And arguably the biggest cryptocurrency feature, Basic Attention Tokens - a cryptocurrency Brave users can earn by viewing ads in Brave.
