He would have needed to be Lead Actor, right? I'd say Hiroyuki Sanada did better, so if they had to pick one male lead from that show to be the nominee, it'd be him

Even just a supporting actor nomination would’ve been fine. Dude was great as Blackthorne.

He was legitimately great. Everyone in that cast knocked it out of the park.
