Sarah Phelps, a Sonoma County Regional Parks marketing specialist, said, “We're a little disappointed that we weren't contacted before this project started.” The department has reached out to Butterfly — through advocates for homeless people — to ask that work on the project be suspended while officials decide what to do, Phelps said. “I don't think we have a clear solution at this point,” Phelps said. “We know this is an important issue, but it was not approved by us before it started.”

How do you describe bureaucrats? Soulless? Cube-brains? Robots?

Hilarious is the first word that springs to mind, alongside heartbreaking. You know these bastards are going to make the wrong decision.
