Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

To ignore it requires some research. Even 5 minutes, given all the statements out there, becomes tiring. It sounds like it's an inconsistency and therefore it must be.
It's so dumb, yeah. But I think we're all doing that now, in sheer exhaustion, just like the GqP wants, and we need it spelled out for us so we can spread a coherent rebuttal when we hear nonsense like this.
Thanks for helping. I want to believe the exhaustion will end for a while if we get a decent and good person in both seats at the white house, or at least we can switch from firefighting to education. "Yes, the nearly-adequate healthcare you love is really Obamacare by another name. Stop voting to destroy it" -- that kind of education.
