As we are on Feddit.uk and the Twitter equivalents can be tricky until you build your free, let's have some Brits to follow (or those living here in Britland). Quite a few seem to have gone to mastodonapp.uk.

Stephen Fry - started with enthusiasm but has tailed off
Alice Roberts - similar recent lack of posts
Neil Gaiman - not much posting but a lot of boosting

Charles Stross - as the above aren't very active, author Charles Stross has gone full Fediverse
Roger Langridge - cartoonist

OK, that started with enthusiasm and petered out quickly. So here are some other less famous people doing British stuff (heavily skewed to my interests):

Anton Bitel - film reviewer
Rob McCallum - artist (comics, storyboards)
The Teletext Archaeologist - yes, it does what it says on the tin
Nearly Knowledgeable - Shropshire folklore

Calckey is a fork of Misskey, which is popular in Japan, but I haven't seen any Japanese posts on Calckey.

Sounds it. Give Calckey a go - I haven't got to grips with half it's features but Antennas are really useful for following keywords (including hashtags).
