I haven't tried that one yet but I know a few people that enjoy it. What kind of temp do you like for it? Warm, cold, etc?

It's pretty good, definitely warm. I just started drinking yerba mate, but I've been using a kettle that I typically use for coffee.

What about you? Do you have a preference for warm or cold?

I haven't been drinking it long enough to have a lot of experience with different brands.

Rosamonte seleccion especial I enjoy everything from warm to ice cold. Warm it comes through like a complex broth, cold it's still smoky but refreshing.

Canarias Serena I enjoy room temperature to cold. I think adding heat makes the yerba overpower the added herbs and it becomes much more plain tasting.

It's all personal preference though and I still have a ton to try!

That's really interesting. I had no idea the temperature could change the flavor so much. I’ve got some Canarias Serena that didn’t taste great with warm water, and I thought maybe I overfilled the cup or something. I’ll try it with room temperature water tomorrow morning to see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the tip!

Good luck, don't ever be afraid to experiment!

Thanks! I tried the Canarias Serena with room temperature water today, and it was much better. I love trying new things =)

That's great to hear. I was really shocked by the range of flavors and textures yerba mate can offer with such simple changes like water temperature. It gets me excited to try even more varieties!
