Parts of Brittany and Guerande in France, and northwest Portugal look somewhat like this. I think that is the closest you will find.
Maybe geographically closer, but not what one would think of southern.
Actually southern is too arid.
Some of the islands of Croatia might work, Pag comes to mind. Beautiful, windswept in autumn/winter (no people too), known for fantastic sheep cheese. In spring and summer it manages to be hot, humid, and airless.
