Fediverse vs Disinformation
Pointing out, debunking, and spreading awareness about state- and company-sponsored astroturfing on Lemmy and elsewhere. This includes social media manipulation, propaganda, and disinformation campaigns, among others.
Propaganda and disinformation are a big problem on the internet, and the Fediverse is no exception.
What's the difference between misinformation and disinformation? The inadvertent spread of false information is misinformation. Disinformation is the intentional spread of falsehoods.
By equipping yourself with knowledge of current disinformation campaigns by state actors, corporations and their cheerleaders, you will be better able to identify, report and (hopefully) remove content matching known disinformation campaigns.

Trump is like Pinocchio, but every time he lies, he makes a poopy ๐ฉ
I like the idea that the more they make up malicious lies the more we should make up stupid ones.
I'd be quite happy spreading the rumour that Trump is incontinent. He's a weirdo, he smells funny, and he poops his pants.
Because let's be honest, being a criminal isn't a deterrent to his fan base, but the idea that he's a smelly old man who wears brown streaks in his pants could better serve to turn people away from him.
Let's not forget how much JD Vance loves a good couch.
He infamously wears diapers and poops himself. That's not just a stupid lie to shame him.
