Right on the front of the console, with the red banding. The system didn't come with it. It was only needed for one game (DKC64), which it came bundled with.

Until I zoom right in, it looks grey like the game cartridge in that photo. I'm mistaken on its size, could have sworn it took up the covers space.

It was required for more games though. Majoras Mask for example.

The photo is of a jumper pack, which did come with the console. If removed, the console will not power on...

All the jumper pack in the photo does is bridge the pins so the console turns on.
