My old house had a decent slope in the backyard. I was on my riding mower going up hill. I wanted to mow really closely to a tree. But there was a big root I didn't see. The mower rode up the root and then then the tree and flipped over backwards.

I figured that the safest place to be was keeping the mower between me and the blades. I knew it was going to hurt bad but that was better than losing a limb or dying.

So I flipped backwards, I hit my head good and I'm sure I passed out.

2 years later I did the same thing. I switched to a lawn service.
