Kind of a cool mutation, it’s not entirely desirable, it uses up a lot of extra energy and can make it a really dense branch with airflow and other issues.

Any idea what causes it? Or is it strictly genetic?

My understanding is it can be genetic, it can also be from stress and from environmental factors as well.

For my cannabis it was probably weaker genetics that I set off with stress, I didn’t have much luck with the mix pack, they came in baggies, so assuming white label seeds. The other mix pack I got from the same place is branded RQS and they’ve been fantastic, the risk of not buying specific breeders sometimes. Learning haha.
