Reddit is a treasure trove of pseudo intellectual arguments that are use to defend Israel actions (mass murder of civilians, mass deporation of civilians, mass starvation of civilians, denial of a palestinian state or of any legal status to the palestinian people, continued decades long seige/embargo)
I'm not an academic but I believe one could write a serious volume of literature with the content I have found there, and it could be used to understand in detail how a seemingly liberal and progressive population can come to not just defend, but actively support the actions of an apartheid state.
Does anybody know of anyone that is compiling comments and post on reddit for this purpose?
I don't believe a goddamned thing they (Israel) say anymore. Not since maybe December. Lying liars committing genocide and cheering on rapists. Fucking assholes.
What if I told you they've literally always been like this. Hiding their nuclear program from the world. Accusations that they helped South Africa develop their's way back when. Long list of "oopsies" attacks on civilians and allies.
Oh, that's become clear to me since this has had my attention. I wish I'd been on to them sooner.I know that they're assholes and have been for the duration of my life. My country's media just didn't report much on it. Social media and independent journalism has change the narrative for me.
I became aware of Israel's oppression of the Palestinian people all the way back in 2010 when I met an American soldier that did a one year tour in Israel and gave a detailed account of what he saw there supplemented with his own pictures. Israel has never been trustworthy.
Why was an American soldier deployed with the IDF helping them protect their "borders" with Palestine ? (or rather the ghettos created by Israel)? Beyond me, and absolutely appalling to see it happen that a foreign nation is using American troops like that.
