If you were getting into welding today, what welder would you get? (self.welding)

I have very little experience and I'm looking to get a welder of my own.

What welder would you get and why? It can be any of the types, but try to back up why you'd pick that one.

Mig is probably the most versatile as well as easy to learn, but there no really one welder that can do it all. However if I could only have one I'd probably go with Tig inverter that can also stick weld. Tig welding is quite difficult to learn though.
