This is a wild developing situation, thankfully there isn't an emergency yet that would force them to use the vehicle for return to earth. Hoping that they can find a path through the data before July 21st.
Isn't this delay mostly so they can study more? The craft will still function, but the part with the leak won't come back to earth, so they have to study it now.
They should get SpaceX to pick them up.
