I was actually watching the thread you linked earlier, as well as other posts about it. And for some reason, in one of the threads I clicked, I was taken to Lemmy.world (which I am glad I noticed in time). Dun ko na nakita yung offensive logo and shit. Some others commented about seeing something about "the site being taken down by Reddit due to copyright infringement".

Eh kaso mukhang ongoing pa eh. Seems like people are starting to piece together what happened tho--but it's all speculation for now.
