Its not going to have the amount of features GTA5 has. But I asume the engine will be more powerful for them to add more impressive stuff down the line.
Why do you think that? Pretty much every single title they released so far had more features than the last. The amount of detail and side activities in Red Dead 2 was insane.
Idk about RDR2 but for GTA, GTA5 is the first one they invested so much time after the initial release.
GTA 5 has a proper online multiplayer mode. Online multiplayer means money. This is why they invest so much time. They optimized the pay-to-win mechanics and not even hide it anymore.
RDR2 is it's own thing. Don't compare it to GTA only because it's also a rockstar open world. I love that game but there's some stuff about it that I'm not a fan and I hope they don't put on GTA 6
