Don’t know if this will work, but they make a “pillow speaker” that, well…fits under your pillow and confines more of the sound to just your space. I had a relative with similar difficulties and it made it difficult to have other people in the room. They listened to radio, but I dunno if podcasts or what else might work. The speaker kept most of the noise localized, so it helped. Can’t do much about the light from the tv.
