While this is a good road bike, the real time trial monsters are the faired recumbent bikes. I personally would prefer a faired recumbent over a car. It keeps you dry, you go to work in a reasonable time due to the speed, and you work out.

Recumbents are a great way to extent the distance you can commute with a bike without requiring electric support.

They are however less common, and thus car drivers dont always take them into account. So be careful when crossing roads.

That's another advantage of the faired ones. They draw more attention and in the event that you do crash, they offer some protection as well.
